Interview With Abunai!

The new Anime Convention on the UT Twente will be soon. RPGAnime.nl had an exclusive interview with one of the staff.

RPGAnime.nl: "Can you introduce yourself and tell us what "Abunai" excactly is?"
Jeroen: "I'm Jeroen Broekhuijsen, currently 5th years student at the University of Twente. About two years ago a number of studends founded an anime club which organises activities regularly. We've had the idea to organise something big from the start. Now, two years later it is finally there and its called Abunai!. After "stichting J-pop" it is the first large convention in the netherlands."

RPGAnime.nl: "What can we expect from Abunai!?"
Jeroen: "Everything, and More! But mostly things not done before on the regular conventions in the Netherlands."

RPGAnime.nl: "Like?"
Jeroen: "Next to the standard anime, films, games room and dealer room, we want to offer everyone someting extra. Examples are: a Cosplay workshop, where you get help and tips with making your own cosplay costume. a Noodle bar, where you can get cheap and delicious noodles. a Manga workshop given by Professional Japanse illustrators. Also a lecture given by an official Japan-Teacher about japan's culture and history."

RPGAnime.nl: "About the Dealer Room; Who can we expect??"
Jeroen: "Next to two shops, A shop less ordinary and Henk lee Comics shop, the dutch magazine "Aniway" will be there with a stand and an upcoming distributor "Dynamic". Last but not least will "Stichting J-pop" also be present with a boot so you will be able to pre-register for the convention A2004."

RPGAnime.nl: "Will there be Anime movies, episodes and or previews?"
Jeroen: "Ofcourse we'll have an amount of movies next to the anime tv episodes, which those are is still a secret. Also we're going to show some upcoming asian live-action films which aren't known in europe yet. What do you mean exacly with previews?"

RPGAnime.nl: "For example Dynamic can show a trailer of an anime which they'll release soon."
Jeroen: "We will show a fair amount of titles which Dynamic will or already has released. Maybe we can give a small taste of what you'll all be seeing at A2004 but I can't promise anything yet ;P"

RPGAnime.nl: "What else can we expect from Konnichiwa?"
Jeroen: "Offcourse is Abunai not the only thing that konnichiwa organises. We have an Anime marathon every two months and we'll continue doing this. Also we're in contact with the local cult-movie organisation where we schedule asian films now and then. And ofcourse we're an anime club which gathers regularly and watches anime, organise workshops, and above all is there for the fun! :)."

RPGAnime.nl: "Last question; Where and When will Abunai! be?"
Jeroen: "Abunai will be at the 13th and 14th of September in Enschede. Ofcourse you'll be able to get all the other info by looking on our website!"
